The Fire hall was built in 1995 and houses two Engine Fire trucks, a small Engine Fire truck, a Rescue Truck, a Command Truck, and a Side-by-side.

The Fire Department is composed of the Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, three full time Firefighters, and approximately 15 paid-on-call Firefighters.

New members are always welcome! Join and make a difference in our community. If you are interested in joining or thinking about joining our team, please complete the application, or drop by and pick up an application during our office hours or stop by during practice nights. We are in office 7 days a week. Training and practice take place every Monday evening from 6-8 pm (except on Statutory Holidays).

Joining:
There is no age requirement or limit, fitness test, or firefighting experience necessary to join.  You do not have to have to have a Driver’s License to join.  If you do have at least a Class 5 Driver’s License, we will get you trained for Air Brakes; this will allow you to drive the Engine Trucks.  We provide all the training and protective gear you need to become a paid-on-call Firefighter.

Auxiliary:
If firefighting is not for you, but you still want to participate and make a difference, you can join and become an Auxiliary. An Auxiliary is there in a support capacity to the firefighters.  You can be trained for Air Brakes and running the pumps.

Junior Program:
For those who want to participate and are 18 years and under.  You can possibly earn credits towards graduation if you are in at least Grade 10 by participating in the Junior Program. (Must meet certain criteria to earn credits.) If you are not in at least Grade 10 you are still eligible to join and possibly earn other recognition for school. (Certain criteria apply – Come in to discuss other possibilities to see if you are eligible.)

In the Junior Program you participate in the same Monday evening practices and attend calls in a support capacity.  You will get a chance to train and wear all the protective gear as well. Parental/Guardian permission is required.

If you want any further information or want to let us know what your thoughts are when it comes to emergencies and community safety or you just want to visit or tour the fire hall, feel free to drop by and have a coffee.  If you see us out and about in the community feel free to stop us and have a chat.
