Activities & Recreation

Recreation is here to provide and identify the demands for programs needed ensuring a wide variety of opportunities for people of all ages, abilities, and interests. Recreation is for the community and finding the means to provide the appropriate programs for all. Recreation is creating a healthy outlook of the community and programs provided with participants having self-determination to utilize the programs leaving with enhancements to health and well-being.


Activities Offered:


After school Program

Providing a safe and active after school program that runs from Tuesday to Thursday for school age kids. Including gym time and other activities within the community.

Gym and Swim 

All Community members are invited to head to the Nicola Valley Aquatic Center to use the Gym and/or Swim for free.  All you have to do is sign in at the front desk ways.

Adult Volleyball Night

We want to promote active movement in our adults within the community, so come on out on Wednesday nights from 7 pm to 8 pm at the Lower Nicola Indian Band School Gymnasium  If you have any questions contact Chelsea, LNIB's Recreation Coordinator.


Yoga offers many benefits for the mind and body.  A creative flowing class to move, stretch and strengthen the body, as well as a focus on calming the mind.  Yoga allows us to step away from our busy lives.  You'll leave this class feeling peaceful and re-energized.  Beginners are welcome!  Bring your own yoga mat. Monday nights at the civic center.

Public Skating

We urge all Community Members to come out to enjoy some ice time.  Helmets are mandatory at all times while out on the ice.

Youth Drop-In Center

Are you between the ages of 10 and 18 years?  Come hangout at the Youth Drop-In Center!  We offer options that include playing pool, ping pong, air hockey, or if you want you can chill and watch some NETFLIX on the big screen TV.

Rocky Pines Bike Park

Open year round for use at YOUR OWN RISK!  For your own safety don't forget to wear protective equipment at all times.  PLAY SAFE!  LNIB is not liable for any injuries that may occur while using the Bike Park.

We ask that you respect the area by not littering.  Absolutely NO MOTORBIKES are permitted at the park!
